We created and produced an animated video for the team over at Civilian to support their ongoing digital content marketing needs in bringing awareness to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). The project also required final versions released with both English and Spanish voiceovers.

Edelman x DuPont – Froth-Pak™

We partnered with Edelman to produce a how-to series commissioned by DuPont Inc. educating consumers on the safe use of an industrial product. Episodes cover several topics including an array of technical information. The series was released to a large North American audience in three languages: English, Spanish, and Canadian French.

The project was a logistically heavy endeavor in which we were responsible for the planning, shooting, and all post-production phases. The set building alone was a project in and of itself, requiring us to put together a construction crew in addition to the production team. Not many shoots involve pouring concrete on the sound stage! This responsibility included production and management of all on-screen graphics and translation needs.

Levi’s x Complex

Tricks Of The Tailor

In need of a Bay Area production partner for a tight turnaround production window, Complex hit us up to help produce a video of San Francisco Forty Niners’ linebacker Fred Warner bringing in a pair of old jeans to be repaired and renewed. Werehaus provided both the entire production crew as well as photographer and support. Complex deliverables included a 3 minute short form editorial video, 30 second cut down, and lookbook stills in collaboration with Levi’s®. All footage and photography was captured on location at the Levi’s® Tailor Shop.

As you can see by the state of his well-loved jeans, San Francisco linebacker Fred Warner plays hard on the field and off. But instead of just tossing his favorite jeans and contributing to the 13 million tons of annual textile waste, Warner takes a trip to the Levi’s® Tailor Shop. At the shop, master tailor Marco Ruiz greets Warner, ready to tackle the challenge of reviving the pro athlete’s denim in Levi’s® new Tricks of the Tailor video.

Bolt Threads

Letter To Stan

AKQA came to us to help produce a concept video for Bolt Threads, a company of world-class scientific and engineering talent currently producing man-made spider silk and exploring its various applications. The video documented Bolt Threads initiative to produce 50 spider silk ties, gifting the first to comic book legend Stan Lee. Through this, we captured the story of the CEO, Dan Widmaier’s hand written letter to Stan.

The story itself begins with Dan’s inspiration from Stan Lee’s creative vision, taking childhood fantasy and actualizing it into groundbreaking technological reality. Bolt Threads and AKQA collaborated on an initial creative treatment based on classic comic book movie storylines. This origin story style video paired the voiceover of Widmaier’s letter to Stan with visuals of Bolt Thread’s high-tech scientific facilities, cinematically documenting the process from scientists creating the silk all the way down to the industrial loom constructing the ties.
