I’ve known AO Anderson (lead singer), and Tony Bednar (drummer) before they even started Crashing Hotels. I met AO when Austin and I were still filming our 50 State recession documentary, “The Recess Ends” back in 2009. I needed music for the film and AO became an integral part of that process. Since then they have contributed music for our videos and we have collaborated on many projects. It’s amazing to see their hard work paying off and people catching onto their sound/style. Crashing Hotels is playing a sold out show The Independent as part of the 2015 Noise Pop Festival. This video was filmed in one day at our studio in SF. I woke up one morning and really felt like making something happen, and AO is always down to experiment. Sometimes you just have to practice and see what you can come up with.
